Ivy was born in Bayern, Germany on June 14, 1989 as Clorisa Briggs, but moved to Texas shortly after her birth, which is also where she grew up. Instead of going to a public school, Ivy was homeschooled. In 2007, she moved to Sacramento, California, where she had jobs laying tiles, working for the fast food chain In-N-Out Burger as well as helping out as a mechanic at a local bowling alley. Later, she started dancing at a strip club, which is where she met adult film actress Aurora Snow, who gave Ivy the necessary contacts to begin a career in porn. She first began performing in explicit hardcore movies in February 2008 at age 19 for such notable companies as Hustler, Naughty America, Elegant Angel, Brazzers and Bang Bros.

In December 2009, she underwent breast surgery from a C cup to a D cup.

In July 2013, Ivy became the first female contract-star for the pornographic production company Brazzers. The contract calls for her to perform in her first anal scene.
