Glamour model Jessica Davies is proving beauty can come with brains –
because she’s studying for a degree as she poses for pictures for some
of Britain’s most popular lads’ mags.
Jess, just 20, is making a name for herself as one of Britain’s top glamour models. And
the student, from the tiny West Wales village of Penrhyncoch near
Aberystwyth, is taking on the world of glamour modelling as studies at
the University of South Wales.It’s taken Jess just three years to rise from finalist of Miss Wales to the front pages of the likes of Zoo, Nuts and FHM.
Back in 2010, the sociology undergraduate was
competing in the final of Miss Wales, the nation’s showcase annual
beauty contest that was that year won by Courtenay Hamilton. She
was inundated with offers for work from top agencies after appearing in
the event – but legal requirements meant she had to wait until her 18th
birthday before pursuing a career in the raunchy glamour business. Now
a regular in popular “lads mags” Jess, who also has her own
glamour-shot calendar, has described the past 12-months as a
“whirlwind.” She said: “Since the age of around 16 I’ve been involved in pageantries and things like Miss Wales.“I’ve always wanted to do modelling but basically because of my body shape it was only ever going to be glamour modelling.“Once I turned 18 it was a case of looking for work and building up my profile.“It
has only really taken off in the last year or so and that’s really from
getting more exposure and getting my name out there, but I’ve now done
shoots for all the main lads.”
